DETAILS

In the world of figurative art, D'Après are the works that an author creates by reworking those of another artist, reproducing or imitating them based on his own style, sometimes even in an ironic way. The D'Après tradition became a real genre during the twentieth century thanks to figures such as Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso and Francis Bacon.

Inspired by this, Pirondini created The D'Après collection  of cuckoo clocks in 2018 as a work in progress involving designers and artists with the aim of creating cuckoo clocks by reinterpreting the works of some of the great masters of art history and inspiration for their work. The clocks are conceived as small paintings with a thin frame that can be placed either on a table top or hung on a wall.

Suitable for wall or table.

Pirondini

Created by brothers Ambrogio and Giovanni Pirondini, Pirondini Italia started off as a manufactuer of wooden products aimed at local food companies. Over the years, the focus changed and Pirondini started manufacturing home accessories and furnishings in collaboration with famous designers such as Riccardo Dalisi, Emilio Tadini, Andrea Branzi, Luca Scacchetti and Emanuele Luzzati, finding its own niche in the production of wooden wall clocks and cuckoo clocks. Production is carried out in the company's workshop using a combination of modern and traditional equipment, giving life to a collection that is at the same time traditional and contemporary.
