DETAILS

Cuckoo clocks were designed for the first time by a German watchmaker living in the Black Forest region. This mountain area is characterized by buildings with a strong architectural character. The cuckoos still made today in the Black Forest are inspired by the typical characters of local houses with sloping thatched roofs and pitches with traditional shapes.

Pescegallo is the Italian answer to the original cuckoo clock designs. The cuckoo is characterized by a sheet metal roof and a base on which small solid wood trees can be arranged as desired. In this way it is possible to recreate a small bucolic landscape according to each one's taste and aesthetic sense. The clock recalls the huts of Italy's woods and the typical look of Italian mountain retreats. The cuckoo clock name is in fact a tribute to one of the villages in the valley where Pirondini is located.

Pirondini

Created by brothers Ambrogio and Giovanni Pirondini, Pirondini Italia started off as a manufactuer of wooden products aimed at local food companies. Over the years, the focus changed and Pirondini started manufacturing home accessories and furnishings in collaboration with famous designers such as Riccardo Dalisi, Emilio Tadini, Andrea Branzi, Luca Scacchetti and Emanuele Luzzati, finding its own niche in the production of wooden wall clocks and cuckoo clocks. Production is carried out in the company's workshop using a combination of modern and traditional equipment, giving life to a collection that is at the same time traditional and contemporary.
